Studio Spotlight
The Flip the Floor Teen Upcycling Design Challenge was the first ELEVATE Studio experience, bringing young people and community partners together to transform donated furniture into professionally designed spaces while learning from industry professionals. Developed with the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation, Goodwill of the Upstate and Midlands, Harbor Freight Fellows Initiative, and Upcycle Upholstery, the experience gave participants opportunities to build practical skills, collaborate, think creatively, and contribute to their community through a real design challenge.
